Hi Burak, thanks for joining us today, how are you and where in the world are you today? Hello, first off all, thanks for having me :) I am close to Barcelona, in the country side. You discovered music through your father who was part of a folk band I believe, tell us how that shaped your own musical journey. Well I think the best answer to that is my music itself. Especially those unreleased tracks with influences from all over the world. To be an entertainer is something I learned from my father and I am very thankful and happy for that. I love to make people dance and smile. Your bio stats a 'dancefloor epiphany' led you to discover DJ Culture and techno, was that one singular moment in  a club? If so please tell us about it. OH yes. Mr Karotte was playing an unbelievable kind of native Indian set at u 60210 in Frankfurt. That was the night when I decided to do what I am actually  doing :) About 10 years ago you got signed to Nick Curly's Cecille imprint, would yo

Dousk - West of Dub [Movement Recordings]

The latest release on Tash's Movement Recordings welcomes Dousk back to the label for a brand new EP. The Greek artist has found a comfortable home on the Greek imprint with this being his ninth appearance. A strong 2017 has seen chart topping releases come courtesy of Beat Boutique, Flow Vinyl and Proton Music while releases on John Digweed's Bedrock Records highlight his extensive discography. Now making a much anticipated return to Movement Recordings Dousk presents his latest EP entitled 'West Of Dub'. Fueled by an evolving creative process the Greek artist has remained at the forefront of electronic music for over fifteen years. Now Dousk showcases his studio repertoire once again with his latest three track sound story 'West of Dub'. The EP's title cut begins the journey into deep, cavernous grooves and funk fuelled rhythms. Esoteric vocals add mightily to the narrative, forever shifting the focus as dubby tones and wonky stabs fill in the framework. A timely break brings

Forerunners - Vacant Deception [We Are The Underground]

We Are The Underground return this week by welcoming Forerunners back to the label for his debut single. The US artist last appeared on the Argentinean imprint in February of 2016 with a remix of ‘The Message’ by label boss Dark Soul Project. Now following a contribution to the ‘Showcrates’ collection on Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music Forerunners presents his latest single alongside remixes from Subandrio and Rich Curtis. Known for his immaculately produced progressive creations Forerunners ‘Vacant Deception’ comes in as one of his most heartfelt to date. On a backbone of warm, round beats runs a gorgeous atmospheric storyboard and subtle, melodic motifs. It’s a hazy wall of effervescent bliss leading into the break which brings both moments of drama and emotion. Perfectly crafted it’s builds as sweeping noise and spiralling arps coverage for a magic sonic moment, ultimately leading to an exhilarating finale. It would be hard to come up with two more capable

Navar - The Legacy [EDGE]

At the heart of Belgium's nightlife lies Edge. An electronic music concept that has invigorated Antwerp's club scene. Conceptualized in 2013 by Eran Aviner and Dave Schamisso, Edge has played host to the world's finest electronic music talent in John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J, Lee Burridge, Kiasmos and more. As a DJ and artist, Eran remains one of Belgium's most cutting edge talents, having his music showcased on world class imprints including Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music and Guy Mantzur's Plattenbank Records. Now after months of anticipation, Edge unveils their flagship record label with a brand new EP from Navar alongside a remix from Guy J. As one of the underground's most creative talents Navar has shaped a sound all his own. His soulful qualities and organic design have led to signings on Guy J's Lost & Found Records and Canadian behemoth microCastle. A sparse release schedule has only made the love for his sound stronger and his Edge debut all the more anticipated.

Dmitry Molosh - The Fall (Framewerk Remixes)

The latest release on Afterglow finds the label showcasing new interpretations of ‘The Fall’ by Dmitry Molosh. Released just last the month the track was a staple in Beatport’s progressive house charts, peaking at #13. Now we see the label inviting the longstanding Framewerk duo to reinvent the track over two interpretations. Hailing from the UK, Darren James & Alec Milliner make up the Framewerk production duo. Long time progressive house fans may remember Darren and Alec as Manhattan who released more than a few gems from 1999-2003, primarily through their Capital Heaven imprint. They’ve resurfaced with great success over the last few years, most recently remixing Albion’s classic ‘Air’ with great results. Here they provide two different and equally excellent interpretations of ‘The Fall’. The ‘Balearic’ version clocks in a 109 BPM and is a gorgeous six minute journey through hypnotic rhythms and meditative synths, smoothly building tension before breaking
