Releases Michael A – Nature’s Secret (Strange Town Recordings) By Release Promo Posted on 12th May 2017 0 second read 0 0 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Reddit Share on Linkedin Strange Town Recordings return off a two month hiatus with a new single from Michael A. The Belarus based artist last appeared on the Canadian imprint with his '2677 Miles/You Pop My World' EP which was released in October of last year. 2017 has been a breakout year for Michael with an appearance on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music and the continued rise of his Genesis imprint. Now making his much anticipated return to Strange Town Michael presents his latest single entitled 'Nature's Secret' alongside remixes from Wade Bennett and Erdi Irmak. As Michael's sound has developed he's become one of the underground's most in demand artists. A fresh, club ready approach is always expected and he's more than delivered once again on 'Nature's Secret'. It's quirky acid hooks immediately burrow into your subconscious as a funked up groove and fined tuned percussion push the momentum forward. Glacial pads make for a gorgeous moment during the track's centrepiece but it's rhythmic flow never gets deterred as a result, moving smoothly back into the groove for continued dance floor appeal. The first interpretation of 'Nature's Secret' is provided by Wade Bennett who is making his fourth appearance on the label. The UK artist delivered his 'Varial' single for the Canadian imprint in January of this year which enjoyed great success, climbing all the way to #30 in Beatport's progressive house chart. Wade has been silent ever since so this is a much welcome remix and he's put his own unique spin on 'Nature's Secret'. Bigger, bolder and with a bevy of new rhythmic themes it comes off quite modern and very appealing. The offset electronics and a shifty, pitch bent theme definitely shine and make for several amazing moments across the seven minute journey. Void of any major break a few timely chord changes add just the right emotive touch without losing its dramatic appeal. A massive remix from Wade and my favourite on the release. The second and final interpretation is provided by Erdi Irmak who is making his label debut. A forthcoming EP on Madloch's Sound Avenue imprint is already causing quite a stir in the underground and recent remixes for Balkan Connection, One Of A Kind and Or Two Strangers have been outstanding. Now making his Strange Town debut Erdi brings some of his tech house infused progressive to 'Nature's Secret'. Backed by a sturdy and somewhat brooding groove, Erdi quickly brings a vibrant cadence with chord stabs and that catchy line from the original. It's uplifting and very mature sounding with the odd bit of spacey design thrown in for maximum sensory stimulation. The break is certainly the highlight though, with lush vocal elements and a swirling blend of noise converging for a magic moment. Excellent remix from Erdi and another killer release from Strange Town Recordings. Don't miss it.
