FEL C – Floripa in Chaos [Transensations Records]

The latest release from Transensations Records welcomes FEL C back to the label for a new single. The Brazilian artist last appeared on the Brazilian imprint in May of this year with the well received 'Alphabetic Disorder' EP. Also laying claim to releases on Dear Deer and Prisma techno, the São Paulo resident now returns with 'Floripa in Chaos' alongside a remix from Andre Moret.

FEL C's distinctive sound has already found it's place amongst progressive music fans and 'Floripa in Chaos' comes in as one of his best. Backed by a full, rolling groove it’s a metallic lead theme which is most striking here. Sonically distinct and yet not be overbearing, it works in perfect unison with trailing effects and waves of noise, which add a fiery almost euphoric touch.

The lone interpretation comes from fast rising talent Andre Moret who makes his label debut. The Sao Paulo resident already lays claim to releases on Auditen Music, Balkan Connection and Soundteller Records. Continuing that positive momentum, Andre now delivers a superb rendition of 'Floripa in Chaos'. Although progressive minded there are some trancy overtones here, which work quite well I might add. It's the break that makes great use of the main elements, a cluster of melodic brilliance if you will, flowing through subtle modulation, inciting a gentle rise before melting down into a warm, redolent finale. Lovely work from Andre which rounds out an excellent offering from Transensations once again. Highly recommended.
