Erich Von Kollar – End Of The Tunnel [Stellar Fountain]

Stellar Fountain boss Erich Von Kollar steps back into the spotlight this week with a brand new single on his home imprint. The Hungarian artist has been a primary fixture in his country's progressive house scene with regular gigs and increasingly excellent productions. Now following releases on MNL and SoulArt Recordings Erich presents his latest single entitled 'End Of The Tunnel' alongside remixes from Analog Jungs and Federico Monachesi.

Erich's productions have always been super smooth but this one exceeds everything he's done in the past I think. It's warm, fluid foundation ripples in rhythmic waves as enchanting synths and perfectly tailored drums tantalize the senses. It makes for an exhilarating first act which goes just far enough to set up a trippy break, as indistinct vocals initiate a tasteful drop and build towards an epic third act finale.

A great original requires special remixer attention and both Analog Jungs and Federico Monachesi take the track somewhere quite interesting. First up Argentinean duo Analog Jungs drop the tempo and go deeper resulting in a great complement to the original. The groove is warm, full and chunky while the vocal elements get reprocessed and play a meaningful part in the journey, weaving their way in and out of the framework as melodies roll and atmospheres evolve. It's a busy week for Analog Jungs with four new projects out and this definite hits the spot. Lovely remix.

The second and final interpretation of 'End Of The Tunnel' is provided by Federico Monachesi who is making his sixth appearance on the label. Fresh off a release for Bonzai Records the Argentinean artist presents just his second new production since February of this year. The first thing you notice is how impeccable the production is; big, spacious and bursting with vibrant qualities. The finely tuned percussion is a definite standout, crisp and full of pop, it complements the rolling groove and distinctive stabs perfectly. A short and timely break keeps the flow intact, eventually dissipating to a wispy glow before the final charge home. Superb remix from Federico which caps off another great offering from Stellar Fountain. Don't miss it.
