Dimiz & Baley – Deliverance [Balkan Connection]

The latest release from Balkan Connection finds the label welcoming Baley & Dimiz to the label for their debut EP. Hailing from Slovenia and Serbia respectively, the duo have worked together previously with releases on the label's tech division and also Dimiz's own imprint Dimiz Music. Now stepping up for their first appearance on Balkan Connection the duo present their latest single entitled 'Deliverance' alongside remixes from Pacco & Rudy B and Modeplex.

The original is quite enchanting with its cross cultural feel and smooth rhythmic sounds. Distinctive vocal stabs add a vibrancy to the framework before the main break takes things further into mystical territory. A quick but impactful build brings the groove back amidst a flurry of drum fills and white noise, ultimately leading to an exhilarating third act finale.

First up on the remixes is Modeplex who makes his label debut following releases on Traum, One Of A Kind and Spring Tube. The German artist keeps the strong themes from the original intact with a more modern framework and chugging groove setting the foundation perfectly. A great complement to the old school original and perhaps Modeplex's best remix to date.

The release concludes with Pacco & Rudy B returning to the label for their sixth appearance. The much loved Croatian duo are fresh off remixes for One Of A Kind and Stellar Fountain. Here they up the tempo a touch for a groovy, feel good progressive vibe cross the near nine minute journey. Most notably impressive is the dramatic breakdown, flowing through emotive bass swells and delicate electronics before a haunting rush of noise and drums delivers that magic dance floor moment. Big remix from Pacco & Rudy B which rounds out a great release for Balkan Connection.
