Armandhe – Sorah EP [B4U Records]

B4U Records begins the summer season by welcoming Armandhe to the label for his debut EP. Previously known as Soluna, the Colombian artist adopted the Armandhe moniker in 2018 amidst much praise. A fresh start has only provided more creative energy for the Medellin resident, who has continued to unite progressive music fans with his storytelling style. Now following a stunning remix for Clubsonica Records, Armandhe makes his B4U debut with the highly anticipated 'Sorah' EP.

The journey begins with the deep, cosmic vibes of the title piece 'Sorah'. Immediately captivating, it's warm rhythmic core and rolling percussion play off a rippling low end, making for an irresistible, hip swinging groove. Undeniably musical, it's hypnotic appeal grows subtly, as mallet-like clusters and effervescent motifs work in a perfect sonic marriage. As the main break commences emotive bass swells and wistful atmospheres continue to elevate the mood. Spanning nearly three minutes in length, the centrepiece is a story within a story, wonderously imaginative and incredibly compelling, it's now become an Armandhe trademark. Full of cinematic qualities, it's tonal creativity and effervescent design unite in a symphony of sound and colour, perfectly setting up a dark drop and exhilarating finale.

The release concludes in fine fashion with the equally brilliant 'Real Fantasy'. Beginning with clever beat layering, fiery percussion and vibrant atmospheres, the near ten minute opus is a free flowing journey that has become synonymous with the Colombian artist. Deep and fluid throughout, it's indistinct vocals, bassy rumblings and organic designs are mysterious yet emotive, all backed by a warm, pulsating groove, underpinning the track and translating it's spiritual message to the dance floor. Another inspired creation from Armandhe which rounds out a monumental B4U debut for the Colombian artist, who by all accounts looks to capture the imagination of even the most discerning progressive music aficionados.
