With a contribution to ICONYC's 'Elements Berlin' sitting as the only previous release to his credit, the Argentine now jump starts his career with his 'Highway To Buenos Aires' EP care of Soundteller Records. The lead track ‘Grateful Memories’ comes from a positive place and incorporates elements of both deep and progressive house. Charming motifs sit atop a chunky, key changing groove as luminous tones and swirling atmospherics delight the senses. A short break arrives in timely fashion, advancing the narrative as the lead theme springs to life, before the groove resets, putting the focus back on the dance floor for a glowing finale. The second and also title selection ‘Highway to Buenos Aires’ showcases a commanding groove and hearty percussive complement. Warm, rolling and incredibly compelling, it's emotional leanings become hard to resist, as layers of melody and atmosphere unite during a poignant break, perfectly setting up a massively groovy drop. Rounding out the release is ‘Emerald Lagoon’ which would have to be considered the closest to peak time out of the three. It’s shuffling percussion and robust rhythms work perfectly together as a tough, rolling groove pushes momentum forward. Timely fills and crunchy electronics make for several dynamic moments, ultimately leading to an otherworldly break to further it's astral appeal. A sure fire dance floor burner and a perfect way to round out Adrian Aguil's debut EP, who is yet another great addition to the Soundteller Records roster. Highly Recommended.
