Tuxedo – Transmitter [Electronic Tree]

Tuxedo returns to his home imprint of Electronic Tree this week with a brand new single entitled ‘Transmitter’. The Polish artist continued to carefully traverse the waters between deep and progressive house throughout 2017 with standout releases on ICONYC, Particles and Stellar Fountain. Tuxedo now presents his first single of 2018 alongside remixes from Espen and Chris Cargo.

With ‘Transmitter’ we find further excursions outside of the traditional progressive house confines. It’s stripped groove and array of astral designs has more of an electronica vibe yet is still punchy and concise enough to work well on a dance floor. A spooky sounding break further shifts the mood from brooding to spacey as frayed transmissions carry a trippy third act. Unique and inspired work from Tuxedo.

First up on the remixes is Espen who is making his label debut. The Norwegian artist goes deep and smooth which proves to be an excellent complement to the original. The spacey qualities are well translated throughout its sleek framework and a dreamy break only adds to its character and flow. A gorgeous remix from Epsen and perfect for a late night dance floor.

If there was an award for comeback progressive house producer of the year in 2017 Chris Cargo would have certainly taken home the prize. Now he continues his great run with a killer rendition of ‘Transmitter’. The Irish artist's dark undertone works perfectly with the spacey elements from the original, eventually melting down to a cinematic break with moments of drama and emotion. It's tasteful drop seems right on cue and the growling stabs sound all the more impactful as the third act progresses. A great remix from Chris and a superb release from Tuxedo's Electronic Tree.
