Soulmade (AR) – Nights in Cordoba [Just Movement]

The latest release from Just Movement welcomes Soulmade to the label for his debut EP. Nahuel Velazquez aka Soulmade hails from Rosario, Argentina. He began his electronic music journey under the alias of Nahuel V where he released on Deepersense Music and Uroborus. Now adopting the new Soulmade moniker he debuts on Just Movement with ‘Nights in Cordoba’.

Comprised of two tracks it’s the deep and tranquil vibes of the title selection which gets the EP underway. The character is rich and warm from the outset as punchy beats and a rolling groove set the piece in motion. Finely tuned percussion add swing to the groove, while a wavering tone adds unique atmospheric tension. Gentle arps slowly fade to prominence, creating a gorgeous canopy of sound during the main break, as clustered drums provide a bridge into a groovy final act. Definitely one for a feel-good moment in your sets.

The companion piece ‘Next Chapter’ follows suit with a classic, chuggy groove and galloping rhythmic elements. Haunting sweeps, cinematic arps and a luminous lead then steal the air across the break. A gorgeous musical movement executed with just the right amount of restraint, as the beats drop for a spacey finale. It rounds out two excellent tracks from Soulmade who makes an impressive Just Movement debut.
