Sapiens – Reservoir Gods (Ewan Rill & K Loveski Remix) [Yang]

Tripp Baronner's Yang imprint continues a strong spring season with Ewan Rill & K Loveski re-imagining 'Reservoir Gods' by Sapiens. Originally released in March of 2018 on Baroque Records it was the title selection of the two track offering. The companion piece on said EP, 'Odishon' has already been given the Yin:Yang treatment with two excellent interpretations coming from Progressive House stars Michael A and Tuxedo. Now we turn our attention to 'Reservoir Gods' however, with sometime studio partners Ewan Rill & K Loveski updating the track for a 2019 run.

Since first partnering up in August of 2017 for an EP on PHW Elements the studio synergy between Ewan and Loveski has only gotten stronger. A string of quality outings for Balkan Connection, Movement Recordings and Bonzai Progressive soon followed, eventually leading them to Yang for a stellar interpretation of 'Reservoir Gods'. The duos productions have always had a strong sense of rhythm and groove with this offering being no different. Clean, spacious and incredibly inviting, it's a seven minute journey through cosmic motifs, acidic meanderings and indistinct vocal fragments. Trippy yet engaging, it's one for both your mind and feet, and with a great response from DJs pre-release expect to be hearing this one a lot in the coming months. Highly recommended.
