Roberto Traista – Here and Now [Skanda Records]

Skanda Records returns after a short hiatus by welcoming Roberto Traista back to the label for a new single. The Hungarian artist's 'Big Nasty' dropped on the Indian imprint in December of last year amidst much support. Now following his 'Echoes of Lightbulbs' for Abstract Space to begin the year, Roberto returns to Skanda with the much anticipated 'Here and Now'.

Looking back on 'Big Nasty' Roberto focused on a spacious big room sound that perfectly merged the worlds of progressive house and techno. On 'Here and Now' the Hungarian showcases his studio repertoire further with another peak time style production that makes great use of afro-drums and nostalgic acid sensibilities. The magic is in the slow, methodical build across it's near eight minute running time, with timely drops, transitions and clever modulation making for several magic moments along with way, not the least of which is a sizzling break which sets the course for a groovy, heads down finale. Sensational stuff from Roberto which makes for an excellent return to Skanda Records, a label who continue to deliver stellar single track offerings. Don't miss it.
