Miraculum – Sunstill (Prologue) [Stellar Fountain]

Stellar Fountain presents a unique look into a future single from label boss Miraculum this week. Long one of the progressive house scenes most creative artists, Miraculum's forthcoming 'Sunstill' single is due later this year but in this unique 'Prologue' Edition we get a taste of the track in form of two remixes. It's not often you see a project presented in this way but it more than whet's the appetite for the original version and two more additional remixes to come. Here we have two of the underground's freshest talents in Antonello Marino and Renga Weh providing their unique takes on the track.

Antonello Marino made his production debut on Stellar Fountain subsidiary Astrowave late last year with the well received three track EP 'Terra 2.0'. Now making the jump to Stellar Fountain the Italian artist provides a warm, fluid take on 'Sunstill'. With strong emotional leanings, the warmth and flow of the groove are immediately inviting, quite timeless and nostalgic in many ways and sounding incredible as a result. The chord changes and shimmering overlays are a match made in harmonic heaven, almost dripping with heartfelt qualities, it's smooth, soulful and one to lift the spirits of your dance floor or just to enjoy on a sunny day at one of your favourite hideaway places. Renga Weh struck a chord with progressive house fans earlier this year with his highly touted remix of Rauschhaus ft Haptic 'Boy'. Released on Paul Hazendonk's Manual Music it was played by Bog and several other trend setting DJs. Also owning releases on Astrowave, Dear Deer, DUNKELHEIT, Lauter Unfug and MONO.NOISE, the German artist now debuts on Stellar Fountain with a stunning take on 'Sunstill'. Sitting in contrast to Antonello's version this has a much more spacious, contemporary feel. It accomplishes this while still retaining a good deal of emotion as well which doesn't always pan out. It's pulsating underbelly is remarkably warm and well contoured, acting as the perfect backbone for fuzzed out electronics and tantalizing tones to work their magic across the seven minute journey. It rounds out two exceptional remixes for an original that we've yet to hear. They've certainly peaked my interest and made for a unique and inspired 'Prologue' release from Stellar Fountain, setting up what should be a great single from Miraculum in the coming months. Highly recommended.
