Miraculum returns to Deersky’s Soundteller Records with the much anticipated ‘A Kacatok Vandorlasa’. Having followed the Hungarian artist and Stellar Fountain boss closely for many years I think it’s safe to say that 2018 has been his best on record. Not only was Miraculum a bit more prolific than in past years but his productions and have continued to evolve, both creatively and technically. Now rounding out the year he presents his latest single for Soundteller alongside remix two excellent remixes from Erdi Irmak and Julian Nates.

The Original Mix leads the release off and finds Miraculum exploring slightly different territory than his diehard fans might expect. The Hungarian artist has managed to present a journey which satisfies what many expect of him on a cosmic level so to speak but he’s done it with a framework which carries a house flavored sensibility. Set against a wispy atmospheric backdrop, it’s spacious yet rhythmic core houses meticulously tailored percussion and timeless chord stabs, both of which make for a hip swinging, house flavoured groove. Add to that a complement of delicate yet astral style effects and you’ve got a composition which is not only a joy to listen to but carries timeless dance floor appeal as well.

Much like Miraculum, Erdi Irmak has also had his best year on record. A shift to deeper territory has brought new life and opportunity to his career and he’s certainly made the most of it. A recent EP for Nick Warren’s The Soundgarden along with key releases on Magician On Duty and Where The Heart Is have been sensational. Here he keeps that momentum intact with a superb rendition of ‘A Kacatok Vandorlasa’. There’s a rainy day, melancholic vibe to this which is just lovely, one which carries traits from the original but also adds a mildly acidic hook and gorgeous tonal themes. Smooth yet bouncy and rhythmic, it’s a mix that’s going work quite well in a wide range of DJ sets no doubt.

The release concludes with Julian Nates returning to the label and providing the final interpretation of ‘A Kacatok Vandorlasa’. The Argentinean artist has found a place in the pure progressive house realm with fluid productions that always carry energy and emotion. A recent contribution to Nick Warren’s The Soundgarden ADE compilation has highlighted a great year along with a large remixes for Balkan Connection and Clinique Recordings. Now ending 2018 in style Julian puts his own unique touch on ‘A Kacatok Vandorlasa’. The energy comes up considerably here with a full, pulsating groove and fluid rhythmic elements. The main themes get reworked into a catchy lead motif which rises during the main break, bringing hypnotic sensibilities and further drive that carries nicely into a purring finale. Definitely something you're likely to hear in the sets of Hernan Cattaneo or Nick Warren and a perfect way to round out another great release from Soundteller Records. Highly recommended.
