Based in Argentina, MATIRAMIC has no previous releases so this marks the beginning of his journey as a producer, while he has already found some footing as a DJ, playing some Buenos Aires based venues over the last calendar year. His Soundteller debut is entitled 'A Doric Odyssey' and comes with three fresh progressive tracks. Selection one 'Turtle Sense' sits somewhere between organic and progressive house. It's smooth groove is warm and well shaped, setting the perfect foundation for a gorgeous melodic narrative. Plonky keys intertwine with processed pianos across the first act, perfectly setting up a tranquil break and whimsical sounding finale. Meanwhile, 'Tribe Motif' falls a bit closer to progressive house with it's funky, house inspired groove and glassy sounding arps. A two minute break sits at the heart of the journey, bringing to life an array of dreamy concepts as layers of percussion get added back in to facilitate a steady rise towards a groovy finale. Already played by Hernan Cattaneo on his Resident Podcast, it is 'Startrail' which rounds out the release on a high note. Warm and full across it's seven minute plus running time, MATIRAMIC works a variety of arpeggiated concepts over a classic progressive groove. Emotive chord changes advance the narrative leading into the break where a colourful array of melodies builds towards a thumping drop and charged finale.
