Kamilo Sanclemente – Blue Triangles [Skanda Records]

Presenting their first release, Skanda Records welcomes Kamilo Sanclemente to the label with the much anticipated 'Blue Triangles'. Based in India, Skanda Records is a new imprint born out of Zephyr Music which has been releasing progressive minded house for the last five years. Further diversifying their label group is Skanda Records which lands with a resounding first release from progressive house star Kamilo Sanclemente. Long regarded as one of Colombia’s foremost electronic music talents, the Cali resident has found a home on Anjunadeep, Beatfreak, Clubsonica Records and The Soundgarden, while earning continued support from Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. Now debuting on Skanda Records, Kamilo continues what has been a hugely successful year with 'Blue Triangles'. Although Kamilo has a recognizable sound it's one that stretches across genres quite well, often times landing in melodic house & techno as opposed to traditional progressive house. On 'Blue Triangles' we get something that sits somewhere in the middle with a tough, machine-gun style groove and a striking electronics leading the charge. Clearly geared for peak time play, Kamilo builds anticipation with an arpy, atmospheric first act, which perfectly sets the stage for a tension filled break. A dynamic lead rises across the centrepiece, made up of striking clusters which pierce the air with fiery intentions, before a timely drop ushers in an epic finale. A monstrous track from Kamilo which will certainly create some memorable dance floor moments in the coming months. It makes for an auspicious beginning for Skanda Records, a new label which lays down an impressive first release and one you'll want to be following as move into 2021. Highly recommended.
