James Monro – Galactix (Rick Pier O’Neil Remix) [Yin]

Tripp Baronner’s Yin imprint continues to impress this week with Rick Pier O’Neil returning for his third remix. Having previously given Huminal’s ‘Pocket Universe’ and Embliss’ ‘Stronghold’ new coats of sonic paint the French artist and RPO label boss returns to Yin with an update of James Monro’s excellent ‘Galactix’.

Hugely prolific, just two months into the year and Rick has already notched releases on A Must Have, Clubsonica, Massive Harmony Records, Perspectives Digital, Slideways, Tulipa and more. Known for his attention to detail and pristine design qualities, Rich maintains the integrity of the original quite well, while adding his own signature twist on the narrative. The chuggy, boundless groove is complemented with effervescent melodies, luminous pads and strummy hooks for a concise and exhilarating seven minute journey. Perfectly dialled for the dance floor and already receiving excellent feedback from a broad range of DJs it’s another must have remix from Rick. Highly recommended.
