Ewan Rill, Ivan Lu & Novalex – Library [Clinique Recordings]

The latest from Clinique Recordings finds a trio of artists coming together for a dream collaboration. Ewan Rill, Ivan Lu and Novalex are all well known in their Russian homeland with Ewan in particular gaining tremendous global recognition. Now in a rare event the three artists come together and craft a new single entitled ‘Library’ which also includes remixes from Bablak and Julian Nates.

The original mix leads the release off with a club friendly, pure progressive vibe. It’s chugging groove carries a massive presence and is immediately infectious. Growling effects and bright chord stabs fill in the framework nicely while a rolling rhythmic core keeps momentum building. The break only adds to its brilliance with a spacey, emotive quality that eventually melts down to an electronic sizzle as the beats drop for the road home.

The first remix comes from Bablak who ups the tempo and opts for a punchier more dulcet framework. The bigger elements have been toned down for a sleeker, more refined approach, making it a great complement to the original. The break brings considerable heat though with a wave of noise and gentle roll into a pulsating finale.

Rounding out the release is Julian Nates who delivers an old school sounding remix which carries a lovely energy. Smooth and melodic throughout, this creation is all about flow and emotion, both of which is has in excess. A pumping first act boasts dulcet hooks which foreshadow the dreamy break and powerful conclusion perfectly. A great remix from Julian which rounds out another awesome offering from Clinique Recordings. Don’t miss it.
