Stellar Fountain closes out a successful year with a new single from Dofamine. The Russian artist has been relatively quiet this year with just a few select releases on Clinique Recordings and Bonzai Records. Here he makes his Stellar Fountain debut on the final day of 2018 with ‘Shtorm’ alongside remixes from Bablak and Anthony G.

This release is a pleasant surprise in that it’s much deeper and lower tempo than what most progressive music fans would expect. The Original mix clocks in at 115 BPM and is a gorgeous slice of deep, trippy house. There’s an abundance of character in the low end, giving the groove an amazing rugged quality while dubby rhythms and misty motifs add perfectly to the framework. Heavy on vibe and atmosphere it’s an ideal mood setting piece or perhaps something for the morning hours as well. Certainly one of Dofamine’s strongest tracks to date.

First up on the remixes is Bablak who returns to the label for his ninth appearance. It’s safe to say the Russian artist feels at home on the Hungarian imprint and once again has delivered some of his best ever work for the label. Again this is a very refreshing approach as the tempo actually shifts down a touch for an even deeper, more subversive take on the track. Although the mood of the original translates really well the framework opens up quite a lot with punchy kicks and a more pronounced complement of drums. What is congruent with the original is the hazy late night quality and that ultimately is what makes it so irresistible.

Rounding the release out is Anthony G who is making his second appearance on the label. The Bulgarian artist has been quiet this year also, making this remix all the more welcome and after listening to it well worth the wait. Aimed squarely at the dance floor Anthony ups the tempo above 120 and utilizes the main acid line from the original in crafting a robust atmospheric beauty. An indistinct vocal narrative adds intrigue to the break, quite mysterious in a way and perfectly segueing into a tasteful drop and driving finale. Already doing well with Djs pre-release expect to be hearing this one a lot in the coming weeks. With 2019 set to begin look for Stellar Fountain to build on their reputation as Hungary's premiere progressive house imprint over the next 12 months.
