Deeparture – Jetlag [One Of A Kind]

The latest release on One Of A Kind finds Deeparture making his label debut with ‘Jetlag’. Dominique Vijverberg aka Deepature hails from The Netherlands and has found a home on several Dutch imprints such as Cinematique and Weiter along with US based Proton Music. A strong single for Canada’s Strangetown Recordings capped off a successful 2017 and his debut for One Of A Kind promises to be some of his finest work to date.

Known for his unique musical style, ‘Jetlag’ brings more of this unique sonic space. Bubbly melodies flow effortlessly over a warm, proggy groove while clustered claps and spacey effects tantalize the senses. The strength of the lead theme is highlighted during the main break with subtlest of builds shifts energy into a glowing finale.

One Of A Kind label artist Vanyano provides the first remix following his 'Yaani Moans' seven track showcase from May of 2017. His sparse release schedule has made this remix quite anticipated and it does not disappoint. With a sleeker approach, Vanyano has crafted a wonderful eight minute journey. Full of smooth hypnotic lines and radiant atmospheres it's one that going to go down really well during those late night moments.

The release concludes with Ewan Rill returning to the label following a great remix on PHW Elements last week. The Russian artist and Sever Records boss continues to be one of the most in demand remixers in the progressive underground. His ability to take a track to an entirely different place is always exciting and he's done so again with his 'Jetlag' interpretation. Sitting comfortably between the original and Vanyano's in terms of style and energy it's got a smooth yet shapely groove which anchors a wealth of solid elements. Catchy arps and dulcet tones stand out but what keeps the energy rolling are the Russian's clever transitions and timely drops. Definitely one for the dance floor and it rounds the release out on a strong note.
