The French artist is making his second appearance on the label while also having released once on parent label Stellar Fountain. His debut for Astrowave came in December of last year which was part 1 of his 'Z Odissey' themed series. Since then we've seen great productions come courtesy of PHW Elements and Bonzai Music which have found their way into the sets of many DJs. Now making his return to Astrowave, Bob The Groove presents Part 2 of 'Z Odissey' which features two cuts 'People of the Deep' and 'Raise Your Mind'. Beginning with 'People of the Deep' you get a great feel for what Bob The Groove is all about. Smooth, driving lines, mixed with hypnotic melodies and ethereal motifs. The first thing you notice it how warm the design is, from the low end to heartfelt vocal elements on through to a gentle layer of cosmic dust. Void of any primary theme, the track pulls emotion from classic chord changes and it's smooth flow. Definitely one for the old school lovers out there. The companion piece 'Raise Your Mind' comes in equally warm and with a vibrant, rippling groove. The foundation immediately brings a more meditative vibe than the lead piece and once again vocal elements and airy melodies play a big role in its emotional core. The vocal narrative expands and ultimately carries the break quite well, adding both drama and tension before that fluid foundation returns for a smooth finish. Two lovely tracks from Bob and a great release from Astrowave, which is rising nicely after being re-branded from Stellar Fountain Deep.
