Hailing from Brazil, Athos Araujo aka Aeikus first appeared on the Hungarian imprint in March of this year with a remix of 'Um Uno One' by fellow countryman Feemarx. Also laying claim to releases on Clubsonica Records and Soundteller, Aeikus now returns to Stellar Fountain for a new single alongside remixes from Roberto Traista and Klaus Kim. With a resume that sits comfortably in the creative space between progressive house and techno, Aeikus leans closer to the latter on 'Ceres'. Stripped, punchy and monumentally spaced out, it's an esoteric nine minute journey. Bleepy arps and beaming tones sit in stark contrast to grungy electronics for a uniquely compelling first act. The main break while short, serves to build tension through timely and somewhat mind-bending decay, before smoothly transitioning into a stunning drop. Returning to the label for the first remix is Roberto Traista who given his history of progressive techno productions seems like an ideal artist choice here. On a backbone of tough beats and tantalizing electronics comes melodic motifs and granular sweeps. Depth and character are at a premium here as a trail of sonic artifacts and devilish synths further the narrative before a short break ushers in an atmospheric finale. The release concludes with Klaus Kim with making his label debut and providing the second interpretation of 'Ceres'. Although early in his career, the Brazilian has already showcased his music on one of his country's most cutting edge imprints in Not Another. Now the Sao Paulo resident lands on Stellar Fountain with a smooth atmospheric take on 'Ceres'. The Brazilian's dynamic drive and wispy designs immediately illuminate your mind, while a trail of eerie effects develops a mystical storyboard. Refinement is the key and Klaus has it in spades, as ethereal synths and haunting refrains steal the air on this unforgettable trip. It rounds out another unique and inspired release from Stellar Fountain who remain one of Hungary's top tier imprints.
