Madloch's Sound Avenue imprint continues a strong spring season by showcasing new interpretations of 'Three Drops of Dopamine' by about : river. Released in May of last year, the artist EP found the prolific father and son duo crafting some of their most immersive productions to date. The three-track showcase went on to receive play and support from a wide assortment of fans and industry tastemakers, ultimately cementing the Estonian outfit as one of electronic music's most inimitable duos. Now, ten months on from the EP's release, Sound Avenue invites Powel, Haen and Secretly Famous to re-imagine the project for the 2023 spring / summer season.

Returning to the label and providing the lone interpretation of 'Three Glasses of Wine' is Powel. With a career that now spans over a decade, Berlin based artist Powel has continued to delight organic house aficionados with his releases via All Day I Dream, Anjunadeep, Do Not Sit and more. As a favourite of the genre's tastemakers, Powel made his Sound Avenue debut in 2019 with a gorgeous rendition of 'Pearl' by Paula OS. A groovy yet impassioned take on the track that earned praise from Eelke Kleijn, Nick Warren, Modd, Roy Rosenfeld and Sasha. 2022 would see Powel make a return to the label with an equally impressive take on Mariner + Domingo's 'I Still Remember'. Now following a remix for Pablo Bolivar's Seven Villas, Powel lands back on Sound Avenue with a spirited take on 'Three Glasses of Wine'. Bringing a newfound approach to the track, Powel takes inspiration from the pacey yet musical original, remodeling the track into a smooth slice of organic techno. Complete with firing percussive arrangements, robust rhythms, creamy keys and a soulful lead motif, it's a timeless energy-rush for the ages - one where Powel lands sounding more elusive than ever.

Returning to the label for the lone interpretation of 'Two Oceans' is Haen. Perhaps better known as Sachin Menon, the Indian artist created 'Haen' as a moniker to further explore electronic music, fusing warm tones and atmospheres with experimental elements and sounds inspired from a broad spectrum of musical genres. Juicebox Music, Mango Alley and Songspire have all been vehicles for Haen's transcendent sound, while the underground's tastemakers have also chimed in with support. Also a recent contributor to Sound Avenue, Haen made his label debut in February with a well received remix of 'Journey to the Unknown' by Madloch and Subnode, a project which was quickly followed by an equally impressive take on Jean Caillou's 'Hora'. Now, continuing to build a bond with the label, Haen returns to Sound Avenue with his third remix of the year, a prophetic rendition of about : river's 'Two Oceans'. While maintaining the glowing spirit of the original, the Indian artist crafts a sweeping sonic experience all his own, a transcendent journey into an organic hinterland, where broken beats, shapely basslines and cross-cultural designs surface from their arcane architecture, onwards to a finale of key-changing grooves and haunting overlays.

The release concludes with Secretly Famous making their label debut with the lone interpretation of 'One Word'. Hailing from Australia, the Secretly Famous production duo first emerged in 2021 with a series of releases via 3xA Music and BQ Recordings, before going on to make their debut on Sound Avenue affiliate Future Avenue later that same year. 2022 proved to be an impactful year for the elusive pair, with a quarter one offering via Freegrant Music leading to projects for Sound Avenue affiliate 3rd Avenue, along with Massive Harmony Records and Sommersville. Now, stepping up to Sound Avenue for their label debut, Secretly Famous dials in a progressive minded take on 'One Word'. Built around a deep thumping framework, the Aussie duo focuses on rhythm and groove across the first act, nicely balanced with a healthy dose of atmospheric colour and elastic-like chord stabs. Looking to bring greater emotional depth, the main break reveals a gorgeous primary theme, delicately dancing across exotic drums and phasing textures, as modulation peaks for uplifting finale.
