Tech D – Unbalanced (Remix Edition) [Specific Music]

The latest release from Yegor Tsarkov’s Specific Music finds the label showcasing new interpretations of Tech D's 'Unbalanced'. Released in February as a single track release, the groovy, melodic gem now gets remade by Dharmalogy & Sanjay Dutta, Luciano Scheffer and Christian Monique.

First up and well known for their releases on Barqoue Records, Lowbit Records and Perspectives Digital is Dharmalogy & Sanjay Dutta. Making their Specific Music debut the Indian duo take 'Unbalanced' into dreamy territory with great results. Smooth and emotive from the outset it’s pulsating groove and tranquil themes quickly become irresistible. The twinkly arps and warm overlays really stand out, unique and striking, particularly during the main break which more than delivers a goosebump worthy moment.

Luciano Scheffer has been on a rapid ascent this year. His upcoming EP for Antrim's Or Two Strangers imprint is hugely impressive and he delivers an excellent remix of 'Unbalanced' here. Rhythmically inviting with fresh design qualities and soft, effervescent melodies, it takes a cue from the original but with a greater emotional impact. Tranquil lines create a redolent air while dreamy textures and wispy effects continue to elevate mood. Subtle yet powerful, a catchy lead theme plays off smooth chord changes for a string of magic moments during the main break, perfectly setting up an exhilarating third act finale.

The release concludes with another one of this years fast rising progressive talents in Christian Monique. The Italy based artist delivered one of last year's most well received remixes when he remade Audiostorm's 'Invisible Girl' into a pulsating hypnotic gem. Now returning to Specific once again Christian provides an equally inspired take on 'Unbalanced'. The tempo comes down a touch for a more serene, atmospheric version which complements the previous two mixes quite nicely. Dreamy yet pensive, there's a myriad of emotions locked in this one and with a backbone of meditative beats and hypnotic rhythms they get delivered in an elegant manner. A fabulous interpretation from Christian, capping off a massive remix edition for Tech-D's 'Unbalanced'. Don't miss it.
