Yuichirou Miyamoto – Mars Wonder [A Must Have]

Jaksa Pavicevic's A Must Have follows up its 200th release this week with a new single from Yuichirou Miyamoto. The Japanese artist is making his label debut following a quality remix on Datagroove just two weeks ago. Now presenting his first original music in over two years, Yuichirou’s ‘Mars Wonder’ is here alongside a remix from Pacco & Rudy B.

The title selection leads the release off with a warm kick and ghostly atmosphere. Building anticipation, the piece breaks down into delicate, cinematic chimes before a wave of slo-mo synth textures surround the framework. A soft tonal theme complements the groove as organic percussion begins to flow. There’s a uniquely enchanting environment here and it’s subtle progression makes for a smooth seven minute journey. ‘Beyond the Hustle and Bustle’ boasts a near four minute intro filled with dulcet electronics and an airy resonance. Once the framework drops blissed out synths elevate the mood as electronic clusters maintain the trippy backdrop. The finale is understated and quite gorgeous, going just far enough with layers of atmosphere and subtle modulation making for a special moment.

A Must Have label artists Pacco & Rudy B supply the lone remix on the package, bringing ‘Beyond the Hustle and Bustle’ closer to the dance floor. Undeniably progressive, the tempo and presence comes up a few notches with a warm pulsating groove and intriguing electronics, the latter of which ultimately serve as catchy hooks. The main themes from the original are well conveyed, particularly during the main break which is not only dreamy but a touch dramatic, culminating in a wave of sonic dust, initiating a heavenly finale. It rounds out what is a lovely Must Have debut for Yuichirou Miyamoto who is yet another interesting add to the label's diverse artist roster.
