Various Artists – Super Sampler 01 [Beat Boutique]

DJ Zombi's Beat Boutique presents the first installment of it's 'Super Sampler' series. With each edition focusing on a particular atmosphere or mood, these Various Artists EP showcases are sure to be a highlight in the label's catalog moving forward. DJ Zombi's keen sense for unique yet dance floor ready tracks is well known and he's brought that vision to the first edition, selecting excellent music from Tarso, Antrim, Amata and Paul Deep. Sitting comfortably in the space between organic and progressive house, all four selections could most certainly sit as lead EP pieces. Leading the release off are the broken beats and dusty design of Tarso's 'Shaolin Temple' before effortlessly moving into the wonderfully warped sounds of Antrim's 'Verstehen'. These organic gems set the stage for the groovy, radiant glow of Amata's 'Aura', before DJ Paul's progressive minded beauty 'Sekai' provides a fuzzy, emotive conclusion to the release. Standout stuff from all four artists, which makes for an auspicious beginning to Beat Boutique's Super Sampler series. Highly recommended.
