Temporarily Unknown – Muzza [Stellar Fountain]

Temporarily Unknown returns to Stellar Fountain for a new single entitled 'Muzza'. Hailing from Egypt, Shady Sabry and Ahmed El Touny make up the Temporarily Unknown duo. Having first appeared on Stellar Fountain in May of 2018 with their 'Blue Smoke' single, the Cairo residents also lay claim to releases on BeatFreak Recordings, Bonzai, Dynamica and ICONYC Noir. Now presenting their first original project of 2020, Temporarily Unknown returns to Stellar Fountain with a new single alongside a remix from Dulcet.

On 'Muzza' Temporarily Unknown explore the tougher, peak time realms of progressive house. Beautifully designed, it’s galloping beats play off growling synths and spacey sweeps across the first act. Creating tension with each successive loop, ghostly wails drift across the framework, as clattering percussion drives momentum forward. Cosmic arps then steal air, rising up through the framework as a blanket of symphonic overlays brings emotion to an exhilarating peak.

Rounding out the release and providing the lone interpretation of 'Muzza' is Dulcet. Hailing from Sligo, the Irish artist lays claim to releases on Astrowave, Clubsonica Records and JOOF Recordings. Now the John OO Fleming favourite debuts on Stellar Fountain with a stunning take on 'Muzza'. Drawing on the sensibilities of the original the Irish artist adds his own peak time flair. Clocking in at eight minutes in length, it’s charged rhythms, spacey atmospherics and buoyant groove are powerful to say the least. Not lost in this are emotive moments though, particularly during the main break. Complete with haunting vocal drifts and impassioned melodies, it serves as the ideal centrepiece for this epic journey. Massive stuff from Dulcet and a beautiful release from Stellar Fountain once again. Highly recommended.
