Synus – Burning Trees [Stellar Fountain]

Synus makes a welcome return to Stellar Fountain this week with a brand new single entitled 'Burning Trees'. The Hungarian artist has spent the majority of his three year career on the Hungarian imprint, last appearing in May of this year with his 'Crystal Fountain' EP. There's always been a trancy tinge to his work and his latest single 'Burning Trees' certainly maintains that ethos. It's smooth yet euphoric groove is quite infectious, clocking in 127 BPM and carrying a lot of poignant rushes. What stands out though are the vocal elements (both male and female), playing a prominent role in the storyboard, particularly during the break as they complement each other and lead to a gorgeous finale.

The first remix on the release is provided by The Florist who makes his fourth appearance on the label. The US artist has been quiet this year following a 2016 that included releases on 3rd Avenue and BQ Recordings. His remix here is in fact his first production of 2017 so this no doubt is welcome news for his fans. What a gorgeous remix it is as well, looping the vocals into an emotive, hypnotic vortex if you will while warm overlays and sparkling melodies carry the storyboard to an enchanting place. 

The release concludes with Qbical returning to the label for his second appearance. The Dutch artist and Manual Music resident made his debut on Stellar Fountain in December of 2015 with a remix of MiraculuM's 'Neurone'. Now following strong releases on ICONYC, Manual Music and Tarnished tracks Qbical returns to Stellar Fountain with an amazing interpretation of 'Burning Trees'. For the less vocally inclined this a dub, relying on a strong lead theme and the usual variety of fresh design which we've all come to expect from Qbical. The stabs are bold, vibrant and unabashedly epic making for a great complement to the previous two mixes and certainly something suited to a peak time dance floor. Another well rounded release for Stellar Fountain which should a find a place in both progressive and trance oriented sets.
