Releases Sohrab G – Evening Glow [Soundteller Records] By Release Promo Posted on 8th June 2017 0 second read 0 0 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Reddit Share on Linkedin Sohrab G makes a much welcome return to Deersky's Soundteller Records this week with a brand new single entitled 'Evening Glow'. Hailing from Tehran, I first heard about Sohrab with a release on Madloch's 3rd Avenue imprint. Although little known at time there was a special feeling in the productions and now less than a year later he returns to Soundteller for a follow-up to his well received 'Take Me With You' EP. That progressive minded magic which was evident on Sohrab's Soundteller debut comes back in a big way on 'Evening Glow'. Clocking in at 120 BPM it's a deep and emotive delight with ethereal electronics and glassy harmonics leading the way. The panning vocals are an especially nice touch and make the break quite trippy while still emanating positive emotions. Two fine remixes also appear here with Soundteller regular Marcelo Paladini being the first. Listening to the original I can definitely see the thought process behind having the Argentine on board. He's great with mallet-like melodies and fluid harmonics which he actually takes into even deeper territory herr. A chunky, rolling groove definitely leads with a big presence while a dubbier take on the primary elements makes for a delightfully less distinct and perhaps more dance floor worthy interpretation. Closing the release out is another Soundteller favourite Silinder who just delivered a great interpretation of Framewerk's 'Flotation'. Here he slows the tempo down even more to around 117 and dishes out a deep but driving beauty. The full groove is quite deceptive, it's doesn't feel like the tempo is as low as it is and the chord changes, particularly coming out of the break are gorgeous. The vocal elements prove quite rhythmic and work perfectly with that signature Silinder swing while a stunning array of effects keep the seven minute journey quite lively. Three solid cuts and useful for a variety of occasions. A great release for Deersky's Soundteller Records once again.
