Fresh off the release of Chapter III, Deepwibe Underground unveils the first installment of their XX remix series. These single track showcases will take a look back over the label's catalog, presenting new interpretations from some of the freshest talent in the underground. In what promises to be a highlight in Deepwibe Underground's release schedule, the first installment finds label stalwart Dmitry Molosh delivering a standout interpretation of Roman Kandel's 'Mahasim'.

On a rewind, the electric energy of the original version still resonates almost two years after it's release, and Dmitry has managed to tap into this vibe while bringing his own fresh progressive approach. Fuller and more driving, it's crunchy rhythms, neatly manicured drums and nostalgic synth phrasing make for an exhilarating ride into the break. The interlude is likely bound for some memorable dance floor moments in the coming months, as emotive chord changes open and rise against a backdrop of trance-inducing overlays, eventually reaching a zenith with acid rhythms and a wave of drums spearheading a euphoric drop and groove-centric finale. It's fair to say this is one of Dmitry's bigger remixes of the year and it lands at an appropriate time as we enter the summer club season. A excellent first edition in this series by Deepwibe Underground, as we look forward to future installments with great anticipation. Highly recommended.
