Robert R. Hardy – Interpolation [Stellar Fountain]

Another big release from Stellar Fountain comes your way this week with label artist Robert R Hardy presenting his latest single. The Hungarian producer has been a primary contributor to the long standing imprint, dating back to his first appearance in 2013. Now returning for one of his most anticipated releases to date Robert presents 'Interpolation' alongside remixes from Erdi Irmak and Marcelo Vasami.

Having his pulse on all spectrums of the progressive genre you always know you'll hear something great from Robert, whether it be deep and groovy or driving and melodic. On 'Interpolation' we get a deep, dark and incredibly powerful production that's primed perfectly for the dance floor. It's thick, rolling foundation sounds absolutely enormous and the acid-like lines and phasing synths are positively electric. The elements are actually so good that it really doesn't need to do anything else and Robert maintains a heads down vibe throughout. What keeps the flow interesting is a series of quick drops and transitions along with subtle but timely modulation. This one's a monster.

An amazing complement of remixes finds Erdi Irmak softening the vibe for something a bit deeper and more atmospheric. The melodic work is quite lovely, as smooth chord changes and trance inspired tones lead the way. The main arp is incredibly catchy and almost tranquil in a way, which the serene synth work accentuates perfectly. Great remix from Erdi.

The release concludes with Marcelo Vasami making his label debut. As a long time favourite of Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, the Argentinean artist has appeared on their respective imprints Sudbeat Music and Hope Recordings while also owning releases on Asymmetric, Soundteller and Global Underground. Always an in demand remixer, Marcelo shows exactly why with a killer rendition of 'Interpolation' to close the release out. Sticking closely to the original narrative Marcelo reworks the groove into something that's more progressive minded while also upping the tempo a touch as well. The additional effects add nicely to the already spacey vibe and the tribal drums fills are an excellent touch. Wonderful remix from Marcelo and a long overdue debut on Stellar Fountain. Perhaps one of the labels strongest releases this year. Highly Recommended.
