Hardy. Originally released in April of 2017 as part of the ‘Emotions’ EP it was the Hungarian’s third and arguably best release for the UK imprint. Now Superordinate invites Silinder, Sebastian Busto and Marcelo Paladini to reinterpret the track for 2018. No stranger to Superordinate is Irish progressive house artist Silinder. Now making his fourth appearance the Hernan Cattaneo favourite delivers a groovy, atmospheric take on ‘Aestas’. On a backbone of perfectly contoured bass tones runs an array of tantalizing electronics. A vocally stab and strong tonal theme enhance the rhythmic core nicely before an icy break culminates in a rush of noise, igniting the warm foundation for an exhilarating finale. Sebastian Busto has quickly become one of Argentina’s hottest progressive house talents. With support from Hernan Cattaneo and releases on Nick Warren’s The Soundgarden Sebastian continues to impress and so to does his interpretation of ‘Aestas’. Coming in a touch deeper and more spacious it sits nicely alongside Silinder’s remix. The main theme while prominent is much dreamier and less distinctive, allowing your imagination to wander into the clouds and ultimately into a gorgeous break. Lovely remix from Sebastian. The release concludes with Marcelo Paladini making his second appearance on the label. The Argentinean artist first appeared on the UK imprint in July of 2016 with his ‘Flying Bubble’ single. Marcelo has since delivered excellent music for Asymmetric Recordings, ICONYC, One Of A Kind and Stellar Fountain. His dreamy yet powerful style lends itself well to ‘Aestas’ with a remix that is deep, driving and quite thematic. A reworked melodic narrative keeps the vibe of the release fresh while a one minute plus break brings all the emotive charm you would expect.
