Nicholas Van Orton – Radient [Balkan Connection South America]

The latest release from Balkan Connection South America once again finds label boss Nicholas Van Orton back in the spotlight. Following a summer which included a string of gorgeous productions Nicholas recently remixed Robert R. Hardy's 'Verum' for Superordinate Music. A regular in Beatport's Progressive House charts Nicholas now returns to his home imprint with an impressive single track release.

Having listened to all of Nicholas’ work for years I have to say this is one of my favourites of his to date. It’s deep, groovy and although rooted in traditional progressive house there are quite a few modern motifs running through the mix as well. The lead theme, which develops nicely during the break and a rugged synth line which complements the groove are quite sensational. They are powerful elements and used to the max would likely be quite overbearing but Nicholas chooses his spots wisely for a smooth flowing storyboard that finds that perfect balance. Another beauty from the BCSA label boss.
