Fractal Architect - My Chagrin (Remix Edition) [Superordinate Music]

The latest from Superordinate Music finds the label showcasing new remixes of Fractal Architect's 'My Chagrin' EP. Originally released in October of last year the three track offering proved to be a standout in the UK label's discography. Now Superordinate invites Anders, Aman Anand and AudioStorm to reinvent the tracks for 2017.

First up Norwegian artist Anders makes his label debut following excellent releases on Manual Music and Steyoyoke. He takes the EP's title track 'My Chagrin' into ethereal techno (yes I just wrote that) territory with a gorgeous selection of buzzing sonics, smooth bass swells and exquisite atmospheres. The production is absolutely pristine; crisp, detailed and a joy to listen to over the course this six minute journey.

Next up one of India's finest progressive house artists Aman Anand makes a much welcome return to the label. This is Aman's second appearance on the UK imprint which follows a remix of 'Siberia' by Jorgio Kioris released in August of last year. The Indian artist has amassed an impressive five year career highlighted by appearances on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music, Movement Recordings and Juicebox Music. Aman's refined his style quite a lot in recent years, opting for a more detailed, cosmic approach as opposed to the more old school sounds from early in his career. His interpretation of 'Cartouche' is no different, making for a highly immersive and wondrously tripped out seven minute story. It's spacious, laid back vibe creates the perfect backdrop for a bevy of alien like effects and subtle melodies to work their magic. Surely one of Aman's coolest remixes to date.

The release concludes with Audiostorm making his 15th appearance on the label. The Montenegrin artist continues to be his country's most recognized progressive house artist and has most notably released on Hernan Cattaneo's Sudbeat Music and Movement Recordings. Here he closes the release out by taking 'Amber' into deeper territory with amazing results. Set over a traditional groove, Audiostorm's sparsely placed melodies and plucky hooks are a match made in harmonic heaven. Easy on the ears, super smooth and perfect for a deep or progressive minded dance floor. A great way to round out a sensational remix EP from Superordinate Music.
