Releases Nicholas Van Orton & Niko Fantin – Oso Polar [Balkan Connection South America] By Release Promo Posted on 1st December 2017 0 second read 0 0 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Reddit Share on Linkedin The latest from Balkan Connection South America finds label boss Nicholas Van Orton teaming up with Niko Fantin for a two track EP. The Argentinean duo have worked together in the past, most recently in September of 2015 on their ' A Box of Chocolates' EP. Now over two years later the veterans come together once more on 'Oso Polar'. The release begins with the gritty 'Grapes & Orange Juice'. There's a lot of interesting elements running through the track. From an evolving vocal sample to wavy, buzzing synths and two perfectly placed breaks. It makes for a great dance floor sensibility and it's chunky groove keeps the momentum charged from start to finish. The companion and also title piece 'Oso Polar' lowers the tempo for a deeper, groovier affair. Bubbly synths and a cool, vocal storyboard drive the piece into a very well constructed break. Tension, melody and just the right amount of trippy flair make it an ideal centrepiece before the liquid like framework returns for a smooth finale. Two gorgeous productions from Nicholas and Niko which prove the two vets have still got it.
