Niceshot & Martin Gardoqui – Inverse Osmosis [Magnitude Recordings]

Niceshot & Martin Gardoqui land on Francesco Pico's Magnitude Recordings with 'Inverse Osmosis'. The Argentinean duo have been fixtures of the progressive underground for many years with releases on Asymmetric Recordings, Balkan Connection, Clubsonica Records and Stellar Fountain. Now the duo make their debut on Pico's resurgence Magnitude imprint alongside a remix from Yuriy From Russia.

As solo artists Niceshot and Martin Gardoqui are both known for their pure progressive creations and now they come together for the smooth, dreamy journey that is 'Reverse Osmosis'. Warm beats with a lovely shuffle combined with a spacious groove and catchy percussion make for a solid framework, but it's the gorgeous arps and radiant atmospheres which ultimately win you over. The main break proves just how tranquil the combination is, elevating the mood ever so subtly before shifting energy back into meditative beats for a charming finale.

Long time scene veteran Yuriy From Russia makes his label debut following releases on Clubsonica Records, Mistique Music and Outta Limits. Once hugely prolific, Yuriy has dialled his release volume back and thus progressive music fans eagerly await his next project. His 'Inverse Osmosis' remix does not disappoint as he reworks the low end with a fuller groove, complete with timely modulation and emotive chord changes. Two hypnotic lines play heavily throughout, coming together at points, most notably during the break before getting washed away in a tepid rush of beats, which sparks a reflective road home. It rounds out another great release from Magnitude Recordings who show no signs of slowing down since reappearing on the scene in May of this year. Highly recommended.
