Releases Magnovis – Incessant Voices [Just Movement] By Release Promo Posted on 14th November 2018 0 second read 0 0 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Reddit Share on Linkedin The latest release from Just Movement welcomes Magnovis to the label for his debut EP. Hailing from Ottawa, Rob Dawson aka Magnovis has carved out a unique place in the progressive house underground. Key releases on Bonzai Records, PHW Elements and Soundteller Records along with support from Solarstone and Max Graham have solidified his place amongst the scenes most intriguing talents. Now following a remix for Balkan Connection's BC2 division, Magnovis presents his debut EP for Just Movement alongside remixes from Fernando Olaya and Stage Van H. Magnovis has never been one to rest on his laurels, with creative prowess growing with each successive outing. The title and showcase piece ‘Incessant Voices' once again comes with fresh ideas and poignant themes. On a backbone of dulcet beats comes tranquil atmospheres and delicate vocal motifs. Meditative rhythms quickly suck you into it's pulsating core before stripping down into a short but timely break, subtly building tension through ghostly refrains as the groove resets for a purring finale. The companion piece 'Runs Deep' follows a similar sonic ethos and is equally charming in delivery. Once again deep and minimalistic in design, the focus remains on pulsating rhythmic themes and haunting atmospheres, both of which prove quite inviting across it's near nine minute journey. A true late night gem from Magnovis and a lovely complement to ‘Incessant Voices'. The first interpretation of 'Incessant Voices' is provided by Fernando Olaya who returns to the label for his third appearance. The Colombian artist delivered his well received 'The Departure' EP for Just Movement in August of 2017. Now following strong releases for Asymmetric Recordings, Auditen Music, Manual Music and Perspectives Digital, Fernando finds himself back on Just Movement with a superb rendition of 'Incessant Voices'. The sultry vibe of the original translates wonderfully here with Fernando adding layers of organic percussion and cosmic effects. It's a deeply engaging storyboard, eventually evolving with a gorgeous symphonic lead, ultimately highlighting the piece on through a hugely emotive centrepiece. The second and final interpretation of 'Incessant Voices' finds Just Movement label artist Stage Van H returning to the label. As one of the Dutch imprints primary artists, Stage continues to delight progressive music fans with his smooth timeless sound. For his 'Incessant Voices' interpretation the Greek artist adds a chunkier groove and beefed up percussive section, all while staying true to the tranquil themes from the original. An indistinct vocal initiates the main break leading to glowing pads before electronic clusters provide a bridge into an emotive third act finale. A gorgeous remix from Stage which rounds out another excellent release from Just Movement who add yet another superb artist to the roster in Magnovis.
