Lucas Rodriguez – Midnight [Just Movement]

The latest release from Just Movement welcomes Lucas Rodriguez to the label for his debut EP. Although early in his electronic music journey, the Argentinean artist has already landed releases on ICONYC and Clinique’s BQ Recordings division. Now presenting just the third release of his career, Lucas debuts on Just Movement with ‘Midnight / Feelings’.

The lead track 'Midnight' shows Lucas' affinity for the pure progressive sound. Beginning with a warm groove and radiant atmospheres it’s a heartfelt eight minute journey. Incredibly dreamy yet still engaging from a rhythmic perspective, it provides a wistful charm, particularly during a well crafted break, perfectly foreshadowing a spaced out finale.

The companion piece 'Feelings' comes in a bit tougher with rugged beats and a powerful groove. The narrative quickly shifts as layers of percussion, wispy vocals and delicate melodic themes descend over the framework. Playful yet serene, it's musical buoyancy carries immense charm, leading to a magical break that sounds tailor made for a warm summers day. Gorgeous music from Lucas which makes for a hugely successful debut on Just Movement
