Based in Campo Grande, the Brazilian artist is a new name in the world of progressive house. First appearing in August of last year with a contribution to MIR MUSIC's 'Summer' Compilation, Leichsen then landed the lead track on the Lump Records 'MU' collection, released in October of the same year. Now presenting his first ever artist EP, Leishsen joins forces with Luana for his Polyptych debut 'Lost'. The release begins with the deep melodious vibes of 'Who Are You'. Smooth and groovy throughout, it carries a sleek hypnotic quality at the outset. Warm key changing bass powers the foundation as it moves through layers of detailed percussion, jangly arps and shifting tonal themes. Adding a new dimension to the track, spoken word vocals highlight the main break, making you think but also feel, while perfectly setting the stage for a classy melodic build and purring finale. The release is capped off in fine fashion with the organic qualities of ‘Your Reality’. Leichsen and Luana expertly marry wildlife motifs with a warm DJ friendly intro to get your ears tuned up for the journey to come. Progressively more melodic as the first act evolves, it's a wave of nostalgic chord changes which once again lays at the heart of the track. Simple and timeless, the melodic narrative flows into the break, gently emerging across the centrepiece with the transcendent sounds of nature acting as the backdrop and ultimately shifting energy into a gorgeous finale.
