Paul Hazendonk’s Manual Music unleashes one of the years hottest progressive releases from Kamilo Sanclemente this week. The Colombian artist has been at the top of everyone’s most hyped list with massive support from Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Guy J, along with a long list of high Beatport chart placings. Now returning to Manual Music, Kamilo presents one of the years most anticipated progressive house releases in ‘Like Cats From Space’.

I think as the last year has unfolded a lot of fans have associated Kamilo with writing huge dance floors bombs, which he’s certainly adept at doing, but this EP really showcases a wide spectrum of his studio skills. Beginning with title track which is a touch deeper than you might expect, but comes with the same if not greater dance floor potential. From it’s pleasing melodies to laid back chunky groove it’s certainly destined for many magic moments both in the club and on the outdoor circuit this summer.

Aptly titled ‘Mandhala’ brings more of a spiritual vibe which is spearheaded by a cross cultural vocal. Wrapped in organic percussion and an electric, chuggy groove there is definitely a Luzon style vibe about this and that’s certainly a good thing. There’s something about all of Kamilo’s productions that make them seem so ideal for the dance floor, they sit in a perfect sonic space and rhythmically they are out of this world, this one is no different, expect to be hearing it a lot.

‘Manthra’ continues with a deeper, more sultry vibe, bringing the mood down a touch. Although laid back in delivery, a strong break heightens anticipation with vibrant chord stabs before a wonky lead dominates a spacey finale.

The final track ‘Everyday Chemistry’ is perhaps the most classic sounding Kamilo track on the EP. Warm and driving with a pure progressive feel, buzzing with effervescent qualities and that unmistakable percussive flow. Definitely the biggest the track on the EP in terms of dance floor energy but i would expect the title track to do the most damage ultimately. A killer EP from an artist who has come into his own and this collection showcases just how versatile he can be. Highly Recommended.
