Releases Kachelly – Viento [Soundteller Records] By Release Promo Posted on 3rd December 2018 0 second read 0 0 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Reddit Share on Linkedin Deersky’s Soundteller Records welcomes Kachelly to the label for his debut EP. With past releases on Art Vibes Music, L'enfant terrible and Traum it’s been an auspicious start to the career of this promising new talent. Now wrapping up a great year he makes his first appearance on Poland’s premiere imprint with ‘Viento’. Although Kachelly’s discography is short there’s a broad spectrum of styles explored from the deeper end of house to melodic techno. Beginning ‘Pagan’ we get the former and with a nice emotive leaning as well. On a bed of warm, chunky beats and tranquil atmospheres comes a wealth of strong rhythmic elements. Vibrant stabs and acid-like hooks wrap around it’s strong framework as a charming melodic narrative begins to take shape. Coming to full fruition during the main break, a stunning tonal theme rises to prominence, perfectly setting up a poignant finale. Sitting in a similar sonic space the companion piece and also title selection ‘Viento’ ups the tempo a touch for an equally charming journey. There’s a warm inviting quality to this that makes it such a joy to listen to. Melodic and fluid across it’s seven minute journey, it’s an interlude of strummy motifs combined with a tranquil, meditative arp that delivers a goosebump worthy moment. A perfect way to cap off a superb EP from Kachelly, who is no doubt an artist to watch in 2019. Another great addition to the Soundteller Records roster. Highly recommended.
