Madloch's Sound Avenue imprint wraps up a successful summer season by welcoming Jimmy Be to the label for his debut single 'Move With the Present'. Hailing from Montreal, the Canadian artist has been a prominent figure in his country's nightlife. While holding a residency at world renowned Stereo Nightclub, Jimmy also took his unique selection and exquisite programming skills around North America, with regular gigs in New York, Toronto, Calgary and more. Now returning to the production world he debuts on Sound Avenue with a new single alongside remixes from Stelios Vassiloudis and Dio S.

Beginning with the original mix Jimmy cross pollinates genres beautifully with a progressive techno creation aimed squarely at the dance floor. On a backbone of tough beats and chunky bass stabs comes trippy vocal fragments and ominous sweeps. Timely drops and clever transitions keep the first act fresh and dynamic, before hypnotic arps transfer energy into the main break and a deadly drop.

Returning to the label and providing the first interpretation of 'Move With the Present' is Stelios Vassiloudis. The Greek artist made his debut on the Belgian imprint in January of this year with a well received remix of Matias Vila's 'Ahora'. Also laying claim to recent releases on Balance Music, Bedrock Records, Darkroom Dubs, Ovum Recordings and Poker Flat, the Athens resident now makes a welcome return to Sound Avenue with a superb rendition of 'Move With the Present'. Taking a deeper, dubbier and decidedly more contemporary approach, Stelios crafts a lovely complement to the original. Subterranean beats and low slung swells create a massive sense of space, while reprocessed elements add a free flowing narrative. Percussive flurries play off darker shades and tones, before the second of two breaks adds just enough tension to ignite a clued up dance floor.

Rounding out the release and providing the second and final interpretation of 'Move With the Present' is Dio S. Also hailing from Greece, Dio made his label debut in November of last year with the three track 'Anathasia' EP. A regarded figure in the deep house underground, Dio owns an expansive discography, highlighted by releases on Lee Burridge's Get Weird and Sol Selectas. Now following a contribution to Sag and Tre's 'Home Made, Vol. 1', the Grevena resident returns to Sound Avenue for his first remix. Taking a cue from the original, Dio goes deeper with rippling waves of bass, cinematic tones and a rugged rhythmic core. Phasing noise and timely modulation bring a wave of tension during the break, before smoothly segueing into a meditative final act. A gorgeous remix from Dio S which caps off a must have Sound Avenue debut for Jimmy Be.
