Jab Vix – Someday, will Be [Skanda Records]

Following on from the success of Roberto Traista's 'Hear and Now', Skanda Records welcomes Jab Vix to the label with 'Someday, will be'. Hailing from Colombia, Javier Gamero aka Jab Vix first emerged in 2017 with releases via Emergent Shores and Encanta. The next half decade has seen the Cartagena resident refine his style, incorporating Latin percussion and European motifs into his melodic progressive sound. This evolution has seen Javier land key projects on Droid9, Nature Rec and his own Oz Land imprint. Now adding Skanda Records to his portfolio, Jab Vix debuts on the label with the touching sounds of 'Someday, will be'.

Well in line with some of Jab's previous productions, 'Someday, will be' lands with a gentle emotive sensibility. Concise at just over five and a half minutes, the Colombian works balmy atmospheres and drifting melodies over a warm wavy groove and clattering percussion. It's subtle build might be it's strongest suit, tastefully elevating mood towards a goosebump worthy apex, before stripping down into a glowing break and suitably uplifting finale. A timeless track to send people home with a smile, and one that is sure to delight a broad range of progressive music fans moving forward into the future. Highly recommended.
