Following on from Ariel Stamile's 'Morning Glow' EP, Deersky's Soundteller Records welcomes Influence (IN) to the label for his debut single. Based in India, Influence (IN) first came to our attention in 2021 with his ‘Lost Path’ EP. Coming courtesy of Kash Trivedi's Lohit Deep, it was an auspicious debut for the newcomer, one which showcased his affinity for deep organic grooves and cross-cultural themes. Projects for BCSA, Future Avenue, Magic Room and more landed with much praise across the next two years, making the Indian artist yet another rising talent to watch. Now, adding Soundteller to his resume, Influence debuts on the label with 'Spiritual Lights', alongside remixes from Nerutto, Paul Hamilton and Rockka.

The original mix lands with a resounding thump as thunderous grooves set the foundation for a wealth of organic percussion and sweeping effects. Vaguely reminiscent to some of Brian Cid's older material across the first act, it's the break which really makes the journey so memorable, completely melting down to a warm glow as impassioned bass swells and sentimental musicality provide goosebump worthy moments, ultimately setting up a groovy finale.

Returning to Soundteller for the first remix is Nerutto. The Lithuanian artist follows on from his contribution to the label's 'Vibrant Vibeland' #20 collection from last year with a gorgeous remix of 'Spiritual Lights'. Going for a slightly deeper approach across it's eight minute running time, Nerutto makes great use of the tracks framework keeping the groovy, percussive appeal of the original nicely intact, while adding a greater atmospheric presence and overall more spacious feel throughout.

Soundteller stalwart Paul Hamilton returns to the label for the second remix of 'Spiritual Lights'. The Maltese artist follows his remix of Andrea Cassino's 'Lamarr' with another top rendition here. Space and detail are the premium attributes of Paul's productions and that's exactly the reason this one excels. It's an effortless sounding groove which sets the course for piercing stabs and killer effects to deliver drama and tension, before a highly emotive break ultimately seals it's brilliance.

The release concludes with Rockka returning to the label for the third and final remix of 'Spiritual Lights'. The Sri Lankan talent goes straight for a peak time audience with big muscular grooves, driving percussive arrangements and subtle rhythmic themes which add great swing to the framework. The primary emotional themes which dominate the breakdowns on the three previous versions are quite downplayed here and the mix is all the better for it, making for a perfect midset riser. Killer stuff from Rockka which rounds out a hugely successful Soundteller debut for Influence (IN). Don't miss it.
