Gorkiz – Strutter [Transensations Records]

Transensations Records continues a strong spring season with Gorkiz returning for a new single alongside a remix from Kamilo Sanclemente. The Brazilian artist and Transensations label boss got 2020 off to a strong start with singles for Astrowave and Sinedie Records, while also finding a home on Balkan Connection and Droid9 in 2019. Now returning to his comfortable home of Transensations, Gorkiz presents his newest single 'Strutter'.

Beginning with the original mix Gorkiz moves into darker territory with a punchy groove, charged rhythms and devilish stabs. Both foreboding and electric, it’s flair for the dramatic grows as timely effects and warm pads fill in the framework. The narrative then shifts as soaring lines continue to elevate across the main break, while warm chord changes add just the right amount of emotion as muted beats and a flurry of drums unite for a powerful crescendo.

The lone interpretation of ‘Strutter’ is provided by Kamilo Sanclemente who makes his label debut. Long regarded as one of Colombia’s foremost progressive house talents, the Cali resident has found a home on The Soundgarden, Einmusika, and Parquet Recordings, while earning continued support from Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Guy J. Now making his much anticipated 'Transensations debut, Kamilo delivers a gorgeous rendition of 'Strutter'. Tastefully melodic and delightfully tranquil, it’s buoyant groove and fluttery melodies unite for a feel good first act. Indistinct vocals initiate the main break where melodic fragments drift under a canopy of arps and atmosphere, before segueing into a powerful finale of poignant chord changes and cosmic effects.
