Releases Gaston Ponte – Black Sound [Soundteller Records] By Release Promo Posted on 11th November 2017 0 second read 0 0 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Reddit Share on Linkedin The latest release from Deersky's Soundteller Records finds the label welcoming Gaston Ponte for his debut EP. The Argentinean artist is early in his career with just two previous releases coming courtesy of Clinique Recordings and Nube Music. Long a supporter of fresh talent, Soundteller now picks up Gaston's latest project which looks to be his best yet. The EP begins with its title and showcase piece 'Black Sound' which shows Gastion's keen sense for the dance floor. Backed by a well sculpted groove, the track flows through dark vocal motifs, mesmerizing arps and a string of wispy effects. Not without emotive moments, the break presents a moment of serenity and calm before a wave of noise reignites the groove for a tastefully, stripped back drop. The companion piece 'Boulevard' comes in a touch more old school with a full, driving groove and classic progressive rhythms. Clocking in at just over eight minutes you really get a great feel for the meditative vibe of this one and although the break is a touch lengthy, the rhythms and percussion keep it locked for the most part, before a dubby finale brings things home nicely. A great debut on Soundteller from Gaston and definitely someone to keep an eye on in 2018.
