Francisco Castro – Moving Around [Transensations Records]

The latest from Transensations Records finds Francisco Castro returning to the label for a new single alongside a remix from K Loveski. The Argentinean artist first appeared on the Brazilian imprint in October of last year with his 'Reality Is Unreal' EP. February of 2020 then yielded a well received remix of Stulla's 'Cor Fractum' while also recording a remix for PHW Elements. Now the Rosario resident returns to Transensations with the pure progressive sounds of 'Moving Around'. Warm, buoyant and full of great energy, it’s a nod to some of our timeless progressive house favourites over the years. Playful arps and buzzing synths meet in sonic space, while spacey effects and fiery percussion continue to evolve and advance the narrative. Fragmented melodies then steal the air, descending over the framework before fully opening up across an expansive break and cosmic finale.

Hotly tipped K Loveski makes his label debut and provides the lone remix here. The Russian artist adds a unique character to the mix with more robust rhythms and low end qualities. An indistinct vocal also drifts through the framework at timely moments, while the main musical theme works it's magic. A well crafted break resets the mood a touch, bringing the euphoric qualities down to a gentle purr, before a band of rolling drums and further vocal elements spark a powerful final act. A big remix from K Loveski which not only makes for a superb Transensations debut but rounds out a successful return to the label for Francisco Castro. Highly recommended.
