DJ Zombi – Summer Run [Beat Boutique]

Beat Boutique's latest finds label boss DJ Zombi back in the spotlight with a new single 'Summer Run'. Fresh off a release on Chapter 24's "Seven Stories: Rebirth" the Tel Aviv resident now returns with an aptly coined single alongside remixes from Michael A and Diploid.

Warm and summery from the outset, it might be Zombi's most emotive creation to date. Timeless and groovy, it's tasteful arps, shimmering overlays and pixie-like effects provide a gorgeous soundscape, while just the right amount of tension during the break makes for a euphoric, feel good drop.

Sudbeat and Replug alum Michael A returns to the label and provides the first remix. The Genesis Music boss brings a tech inspired edge to the piece all while conveying the main themes beautifully. Icy pads highlight the break, bringing reflective moments before building to a tasteful crescendo and ultra groovy final act.

Rounding out the release and also returning to the label is Diploid. The Israel duo last appeared with their 'Incognito' EP and also lay claim to releases on Iboga and Plusquam Records. For their 'Summer Run' interpretation the duo go deeper and dubbier, making use of the lead themes in a much more indistinct way while focusing on strong percussive elements and a smooth rhythmic disposition. A perfect complement to the previous two versions and a great way to cap off a gorgeous summer release for DJ Zombi and Beat Boutique. Highly recommended.
