D-Nox & Beckers – Bitter Rain [Beat Boutique]

Beat Boutique celebrates their 100th release with a new single from D-Nox & Beckers. Founded in 2014 by Israeli producer DJ Zombi, Beat Boutique has forged a path to melodic house excellence, building an impressive roster of veteran artists while nurturing new and exciting talent along the way. Now commemorating their 100th release in style they welcome D-Nox & Beckers back to the label with 'Bitter Rain', alongside remixes from Cid Inc and Nico Morano.

As one of electronic music’s most beloved duos, Germany’s D-Nox & Beckers have continued to thrill fans with both cutting edge music and enlightening DJ sets. Releases on Bedrock Records, Selador and Sudbeat Music, coupled with appearances at the world’s largest festivals have made the duo a favourite amongst their fans and contemporaries. Now returning to Beat Boutique for the third time they present the immaculately crafted 'Bitter Rain'. Groovy and musical in equal measure, it's effervescent acid lines and charming chord stabs are a match made in harmonic heaven. It makes for a unique contrast of grain and shimmer across the eight minute storyboard, while a distinctly modern framework translates that emotive message to the dance floor.

Providing the first remix and making his second appearance on the label is Cid Inc. The Finnish artist first appeared on the Israeli imprint in 2017 with a remix of Dousk's 'Whisper Unit'. As one of progressive music's most revered talents, the Replug boss remains a firm favourite amongst the genres premiere tastemakers Guy J, Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, while showcasing his music on Lost & Found and Sudbeat. Now following the release of his 'Citadel' EP, Cid Inc returns to Beat Boutique for a rousing remix of 'Bitter Rain'. Backed by a rugged, hypno-groove and flowing rhythmic structures, it’s a creation that moves through a myriad of tantalizing motifs. Hugely compelling throughout, acid lines bubble and percussion fires, gently raising tension across the first act, perfectly setting up a musical break complete with emotive chord changes and a well crafted build which segues into a powerful drop. Mega stuff from Cid Inc once again.

Rounding out the release with the second and final interpretation of 'Bitter Rain' is Nico Morano who makes his label debut. The Belgian artist has been a well known DJ in his countries nightlife over the last decade with residences at Illusion, The Level, Club Lux and Magic. Also an accomplished producer, Nico has showcased his music on DAYS like NIGHTS, KATERMUKKE, Selador and Sincopat. Now landing on Beat Boutique he delivers an airy atmospheric take on 'Bitter Rain'. The main themes translate well over a robust groove, utilized perfectly for maximum sensory response, while a more melancholic backdrop adds mystery and intrigue across the eight minute journey. A stunning interpretation from Nico, capping off what is a milestone release for DJ Zombi's Beat Boutique, a label that continues to evolve and carve out new paths in the electronic underground.
