Black 8 – Dancing By The Seas [Afterglow]

Making a welcome return, Afterglow Records relaunches with a new single from Black 8. Based in Cairo, the Egyptian artist has long been a favourite of progressive music tastemakers Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. His sophisticated sound has been showcased on some of the genre’s most trusted imprints, such as Hope Recordings, NĀTIV, Sudbeat Music and The Soundgarden. Having first appeared on Afterglow in April of 2019 with a well received remix of Rafa'EL's 'Revival', Black 8 now makes a welcome return to the label for his first original project entitled 'Dancing By The Seas'.

Black 8 has always had an organic tinge to his progressive minded house, and with the rapid rise of organic house it's only made his music all the more appealing to a broad spectrum of DJs. With 'Dancing By The Seas' we get a ten minute plus journey into warm voluptuous grooves, mystical themes and exotic percussion. Warm chord stabs and indistinct vocals shape the narrative early on, before a cinematic break adds an emotional lean which perfectly segues into a groovy drop and percussive finale. Definitely one for the astute progressive music fan and already enjoying a rapid rise in Beatport's progressive sales charts. Don't miss it.
