The latest offering from Antrim’s Or Two Strangers imprint welcomes Berni Turletti back to the label for his debut EP. Hailing from Cordoba, the Argentinean artist first appeared on the imprint in August of last year with a contribution to the ‘Strangers CBA’ collection. Now the Hernan Cattaneo favourite returns for his debut EP alongside remixes from Forerunners and Lucas Rossi.

Beginning with the title and showcase piece ‘Surround Us With Love’ Berni crafts a smooth, summery melodic piece that’s destined for many great dance floor moments. Anchored by a chugging, pure progressive groove, it’s rhythmic core comes up quickly with detailed drum work and vibrant tonal themes. A wavering vocal pad adds a calm meditative quality, perfectly setting up the tranquil arps which soon infuse the framework. Stripping down into the main break the low end flows through a series of emotive chord changes, as the atmospherics rise before a short and timely build transfers energy into a glowing third act finale. The companion piece ‘Fill With Life’ ups the energy with a driving, free flowing narrative. A chugging low end sets the track in motion as harmonic concepts flow through the framework. Rising textures tantalize the senses, leading into the main break, which your dance floor is sure to remember long after the night is over.

The first interpretation of ‘Surround Us With Love’ is provided by Forerunners who is making his label debut. The US artist has found a home on Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music where he contributed a track to the label’s ‘Showcrates’ Vol. 2 collection. Also owning releases on Max Graham’s Cycles and Tim Penner’s Slideways Music, Forerunners now makes his Or Two Strangers debut with a superb rendition of ‘Surround Us With Love’. Undeniably warm, it’s fluid foundation is immediately inviting as waves of percussion and rhythmic hooks encase the framework. Smooth harmonic concepts spark emotional intrigue before melting down into a hazy sonic collage, further elevating the mood before a tepid rush ignites a free flowing finale.

The second and final interpretation of ‘Surround Us With Love’ is provided by Lucas Rossi who is also making his label debut. Lucas is another Argentinean artist who has been making major strides in the progressive underground. With a discography that includes releases on Nick Warren’s The Soundgarden and John Johnson’s ICONYC, Lucas makes his Or Two Strangers debut with an amazing interpretation of ‘Surround Us With Love’. Nicely dialled for the dance floor with a big chugging groove, cosmic effects and a purring meditative resonance. The second act builds an enormous amount of tension, as waves of white noise meld with the main theme, creating an environment buzzing with ultrasonic's, eventually peaking for what should be a magical club moment. An amazing remix from Lucas which rounds out another top shelf release for Antrim’s Or Two Strangers imprint.
